The Council for Culture and the Advisory Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (Awti) jointly have an exploratory study of the dynamics in the creative industry.
The exploration was the basis for the joint opinion , the value of creativity , in which the councils bring some issues to the attention that they consider important for policy development:
Achieve a better alignment between the relevant instruments of innovation, science and culture. This gives the cultural, economic and social value of creativity more space - both inside and outside the creative industries.
Create opportunities to provide customized support to international ambitions of the creative industries, including the instruments to better matching supply to facilitate cooperation with other leading sectors and the deployment of the resources for cultural, scientific and economic diplomacy.
An integrated program design for scientific, practice and design research, along the lines of, for example the NWO Research through design . University researchers and researchers from colleges may submit joint proposals for that program to the themes of architecture, industrial design and fashion.
