SAT was founded in 1996 as a centre for arts, research and training in digital media. It focuses on developing immersive technologies, augmented reality and the creative use of high-speed communications networks. SAT also presents multimedia performances in its Satosphere, a domed room where an audience of up to 200 people can enjoy an immersive experience in which they are surrounded on all sides and above by projected video.
