In the first three years of implementation it has helped to raise over 40 billion pesos of new resources for the performing arts sector that shows clearly the positive changes for the benefit of this field.

Since its enactment on 26 December 2011, the Law of Public Entertainment was created to encourage, formalize, democratize and make competitive the performing arts sector in Colombia (live performances of music, dance, theater, circus without animals, magicians and related practices).

The actions led nationally by the Ministry of Culture for the implementation of the law show a remarkable progress made towards more resources for the performing arts sector in the country that are aimed at improving infrastructure, optimizing procedures and tax cuts for the realization of shows, equity and the formalization of the sector and increased cultural offer for all Colombians.
