The Art of Impact

The first open call from The Art of Impact resulted in 36 approved applications.

As many as 428 applicants submitted a project plan; a diverse group of organizations, partnerships and individual artists. The applications were spread across all disciplines and all selected social domains, namely care and welfare, livable neighborhood and city, energy & climate and circular economy.

The commission was composed wide and was chaired by Jan Bonjer, editor Het Financieele Dagblad , was positively surprised by the proceeds of the first open call: "The Art of Impact undoubtedly lead to an increase in the positive impact of arts and culture on the Dutch society. This is a profitable use of public funds, "said Bonjer.

The Art of Impact welcomes the enthusiasm for the program and the versatility of applications: "It is a clear indication that there are already many initiatives that explore the relationship between art and other sectors of society. It is the ambition of The Art of Impact strengthen this further and more emphatically to make visible, "says Michiel Munneke, program director.
