The Council of Ministers of Mali of January 6, 2016 finally adopted the draft decree on the status of artists.

This draft decree defines the artist and establishing the general regime of its rights and obligations. It outlines the various branches of activity and categories of artists. It also laying down the ethical rules by which artists must abide and specifies the disciplinary sanctions that may befall them in case of failure to fulfil their obligations. It also borders on the tax regime, working relations as well as social protection for artists.
