Ante la propagación de enfermedad COVID-19 hasta ser caracterizada como una pandemia, el Consejo de Ministros de Cultura del Sistema de Integración Centroamericana (SICA) formuló una Declaración conjunta en la que se contiene un marco de acción estratégico denominado Estrategia de Respuesta Colaborativa para la región SICA ante la pandemia del COVID-19, para ser elaborado mediante una estrategia de cooperación intergubernamental. Esta Estrategia permite abordar la particularidad de cada contexto nacional, a la vez que cooperar en posibles soluciones a problemas comunes.
