On Thursday 5 November, Magdalena Moreno Mujica, Executive Director of the Federation, participated in the Multilateralism and Cultural Diplomacy roundtable during the VII Ibero-American Congress of Culture, alongside speakers including senior representatives from IFACCA partner organisations Ernesto Ottone, Assistant Director-General for Culture of UNESCO and Andrés Delich, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of the Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI). Discussions covered the financial challenges to supporting the recovery of the sector post-COVID, working in the multilateral space, and the benefits of learning from others in the international community. The Congress was co-hosted by the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and the Secretary of Culture of Mexico, a National Member of the Federation; and concluded with a commitment to build a new social pact to promote the sustainable development of the region.
