On Friday 21 May, Executive Director Magdalena Moreno Mujica participated in the high-level event on culture and sustainable development co-hosted by the United Nations General Assembly and UNESCO to mark the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. Representing the Federation and its members, Ms Moreno presented in the session Achieving Culture’s Transformative Potential to Accelerate the Decade of Action on policy measures to protect the cultural and creative sectors during the pandemic and unleash their transformative potential; and on possible funding models to support the creative and cultural sectors as a driver of sustainable development. The event was live broadcast and is available to view online via UN Web TV, in two parts (view part one; view part two, which includes Ms Moreno’s presentation).
