Este estudio repasa el estado presente del sector audiovisual en América Latina y el Caribe en el contexto del auge en la demanda propiciado por el streaming y las crecientes industrias nacionales. La investigación hace una cartografía de hitos audiovisuales y fija su lente en debates de política pública y habilidades del siglo XXI. Luego de conversar con casi 100 creadores y creadoras emergentes, productores, ejecutivos de empresas de entretenimiento, trabajadores institucionales y de asociaciones fílmicas, se dirimen los principales retos y oportunidades en la región. El estudio incorpora una encuesta con 417 productores que indaga las habilidades técnicas “above and below the line” y del siglo XXI más demandadas para el desarrollo del sector audiovisual en nuestros países.
