The development and strengthening of joint cooperation between the Republic of Tunisia and Italy in the cultural and creative field was the focus of a working session held on 8 April 2022, under the supervision of the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Dr. Hayat Qatat Al-Qarmazi, and in the presence of His Excellency the Italian Ambassador to Tunisia, Mr. Loronzo Vanara and his accompanying delegation.

The session touched on joint cooperation in the field of training and benefiting from international experiences in the use of modern technologies for scientific and technical action in the heritage sector, especially in monuments and heritage sites registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The attendees also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of digital cultural economy to value heritage including working together to  digitise the Tunisian Film Archive in an effort to preserve the collective memory.
