The Flemish cultural advisory council SARC paid a working visit to the Dutch Council for Culture, as both in Flanders and in the Netherlands, new cultural policy is being developed. In particular, it was discussed how to safeguard the voice of young people. One of the themes that plays a role in both Flanders and the Netherlands is inclusion. Dilemmas around space for the renewal of genres and crossovers were also discussed. A third theme concerned the safeguarding of democratic values in media policy. Sustainability, international cultural policy and digitisation were also discussed.
