Under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and in cooperation with the concerned departments of the Ministry of Defense, the military institution, in the presence of the Director General of the National Center for Cinema and Image, Mr. Noman Hamrouni, secured today, Wednesday, February 08, 2023, for the first time, the transfer of a part of the film archive of about a thousand original (negative) tapes from the archive treasury in Gammarth to the headquarters of the National Library House. These film boxes are the oldest among the contents of the treasury and date back to the period between 1956 and 1965.

Thus, the announcement of the birth of the National Treasury of Tunisian cinema will be at its new headquarters in the National Library.
