In its report, the State of Artistic Freedom 2024, Freemuse gives an overview of that turbulent year. It describes the unprecedented freedom of expression crisis that has arisen in Germany, the UK and the USA, as artists who called for a ceasefire found themselves blacklisted, their artworks withdrawn from exhibitions, sacked from their posts and arts premises attacked.
