As part of UNESCO's efforts in advancing gender equality and empowering women through culture, this research project is launched to produce an advocacy Policy Brief on the importance and added value of mainstreaming gender equality in cultural policies and formulating targeted cultural gender-responsive and transformative policies and measures for sustainable development and diverse, inclusive and abundant culture sectors, as well as a Guidance Toolkit to support the formulation of gender transformative and responsive cultural policies and measures, including examples of good practices from around the world.
