The II Ibero-American Congress on Cultural Law took place on 14, 15 and 16 October 2024 in the city of Tlaxcala in Mexico. The entire Congress utilised a hybrid format, which encouraged online and face-to-face participation of the different Ibero-American agents, addressed all topics from a regional perspective, and affirmed the need to strengthen the mechanisms of cooperation, coordination and articulation of cultural policies in the region. IFACCA's Executive Director, Magdalena Moreno Mujica spoke at the Sectorial Roundtable #9 on ‘Economic and financial support for cultural development by institutions in the Ibero-American region’.

The Congress is organised by the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB). The academic responsibility lies with the Gabeiras Foundation for Law and Culture, the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala and the Inter-University Institute for Cultural Communication (Carlos III University of Madrid and UNED), with the invaluable support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Mexico and the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of the Free and Sovereign State of Tlaxcala, as well as the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
