In the Ministry of Culture and Equality's proposal for the national budget for 2025, NOK 25.8 billion has been set aside for culture. In 2025, the culture budget will account for 0.83 per cent of the total budget. This is an increase of NOK 1.2 billion from 2024. The cultural budget has grown by almost 30 percent since 2020, compared to around 20 percent in price increases for the same period. In a time of war, climate change and a challenging economy, it is a solid and good budget.
