Across the creative industries sector there are widespread concerns relating to representation, retention and progression for women, people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people, and individuals from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Careers in the creative industries appear to be heavily impacted by people’s social, cultural and financial capital.
