This plan is part of a particularly dynamic context, as Paris and France are once again establishing themselves as a global centre for contemporary art, driven by the combined energy of public institutions, galleries and private foundations. However, the presence of artists on the French scene remains limited on an international scale, and the contemporary art ecosystem – artists, public art centres or private galleries – is showing signs of fragility and difficulty.
