The newly appointed Expert Panels and Policy Advisory Group will work together to support the National Cultural Policy public consultation process and policy development. The appointees will bring valuable industry expertise and lived experience to the table.
Each Expert Panel is made up of 3 members and represents a wide cross-section of the creative and cultural sector. The panels align with the pillars first set out in Revive: A place for every story, a story for every place:
- First Nations First
- Centrality of the Artist
- A Place for Every Story
- Strong Cultural Infrastructure
- Engaging the Audience.
The Expert Panels will review public consultation submissions and use their lived experience and specialist knowledge to inform the Minister for the Arts and the Policy Advisory Group on key issues and themes related to their pillar.
