In 2016 IFACCA partnered with Arts Council Malta to host the World Summit on Arts and Culture . In preparation for the Summit, IFACCA produced a Discussion Paper to provide participants and speakers with background reading on the Summit’s theme: At the crossroads? Cultural Leadership in the 21st century. The Discussion Paper looked at the concept of cultural leadership from different perspectives, and considered the broader question of how culture can, or does, play a leadership role in driving positive societal change. This D’Art Report 52 is an updated and revised version of the Discussion Paper.
In 2016 IFACCA partnered with the Committee on Culture of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) to explore the relationship between national and local governments in relation to cultural policy.
This new report looks at the various ways in which cultural networks operate and includes introductory chapters , which provide theoretical context around the conceptual frameworks and governance of cultural networks.

Advocating for the arts is a challenge shared by government agencies and arts communities around the world. In 2014, we published a Good Practice Guide on Arts Advocacy, a publication based on desk research and survey responses from members of our network.
