This inter-disciplinary conference aims at exploring the challenging nature of multicultural societies specifically the Iranian one from different perspectives.
The conference has three overarching aims:
· exploring intercultural peace resolution
· exploring social conflict management
· exploring a distinct image of intercultural sensitivity, schema, stereotypes and prejudice
Papers, presentations, panels and reports are welcome on any of the following themes:
· Intercultural sensitivities and their effects on creating relations among different ethnics and nations
· Role of schema about other cultures in creating relations and the quality of intercultural relation
· Significance of social and intercultural interactions and identifying its criteria in the era when internet is unavoidable element of human life
· The way some cultures distinguish themselves from others signifying the concept of "we" and "the other"
· Role of mass media in representing identities and cultural rituals
· Positive and negative aspects of multiculturalism and its status in Iran
