This year,a one day symposium will be addedto the 2014 edition of the Best in Heritageconference, which willbe held on Sunday, September 28th on the theme of "Efficiency and excellence in the public memory sector". The book volume of presented contributions will be pre-published for the conference, distributed to the participants and made available on-line. Submissions for papers are due 15 April 2014.

The 2013 Conference on Cultural Diversity, Civil Society and International Cultural Cooperation in South East Europe brought together representatives of national focal points for the 2005 UNESCO Convention, researchers, professionals, artists, members of the Culturelink Network and other participants from the region of South East Europe and beyond. The event was attended by 55 participants from 16 countries.
This symposium encouraged the exchange of ideas and the dialogue on different manners of supporting art in everyday practice. Organised by the EUNIC Cluster Croatia in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of theRepublic of Croatia, the conference also aimed to establish a connection with traditional and new practices that evolved in Croatia, a soon-to-be member of the European Union.
The World Art Games are scheduled to take place in Croatia from June 29 to July 10 next year.
