Associate/Assistant professor. Nine month position. Salary competitive. Starts August 2002. Terminal degree in art, art history, arts administration. In addition to directing new graduate program, teach two courses per semester. The department seeks an energetic arts professional to help shape a new interdisciplinary graduate program in Arts Administration with a focus on visual art. Record of accomplishment in administering arts organizations preferred, as well as in teaching; a background in arts marketing, fundraising, etc.; candidates should have teaching experience and an active research record. Program Director supervises all aspects of the program including recruiting and admission of students, progress of enrolled students; internship and job placement; recruiting adjunct faculty; cultivating working relationships with arts institutions in Charlotte and beyond; and developing external funding resources.
