BALTIC is the major new international centre for contemporary art, which opened on 13 July 2002. Situated on the south bank of the River Tyne, Gateshead, BALTIC has attracted over 250 000 visitors to date.
BALTIC is now looking to strengthen its team with a senior manager to support the Director, Sune Nordgren, in bringing the highly successful project forward during this exciting phase in its development.
The Deputy Director will have the overall day to day responsibility for the efficient operation of BALTIC administration and personnel. The post will have a particular focus on long term strategic planning, balancing artistic and commercial objectives to ensure that BALTIC is an effective business operation. The post holder will, in the absence of the Director, share the deputising role with the Deputy Director/Curator.
