N. Ireland council launches new music archive

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has launched a new music archive and website. The archive has a digital database of 20th and 21st century music from Northern Irish contemporary composers.
The Northern Ireland Music Archive is held at the Belfast Central Library. The website will promote the works of current composers, and all the information is available to the public. The Website of Northern Irish Composers can be found at www.northernirelandcomposers.com.
Arts Council Chairman, Rosemary Kelly, said: “This first comprehensive archive of Northern Irish music will be a valuable educational resource for schools, students, researchers and music lovers in general, and an inspiration to future musicians.”
