IFACCA is pleased to announce that a European Chapter was formally established when members met in Madrid at the end of September.
IFACCA’s European members have been meeting as a regional group annually since 2007. The chapter comprises IFACCA’s 25 national members from Europe. At the meeting European members discussed support for international arts activities; IFACCA’s strategic plan; arts advocacy; arts and education; and other issues of interest to European members.
The European members were also joined by guest speakers: Mr Robert Palmer, Director, Culture and Cultural and Natural Heritage, Council of Europe; Mr Andreas Wiesand, Executive Director, European Institute for Comparative Cultural Research, Germany; and Ms Mercedes Giovinazzo, Director, Interarts Foundation, Spain
The European Chapter will meet again in 2011.
