Ministry of Culture has invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Director General in national museum. The profile will be on contractual basis for a period of three years and can be extended. The interested and eligible candidates must apply in a prescribed format before the closing date.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification: The candidates must have a Master's degree in Museology, History of Art, History, Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Persian, Arabic, Archaelogy, Anthropology, Fine Arts or Chemistry related field from a recognised university or equivalent with 15 years of experience in the same field.
Selection procedure: The mode of selection is through a high-level search-cum-selection committee consisting of experts in the field.
Pay scale: HAG Rs 67,000 (annual increment @ 3 per cent) - Rs 79,000
