Lithuanian Council for Culture announces changes in the team. In order to improve the administration and planning of funding instruments, from 4 November the current Department of Culture and Arts will be transformed into two new ones – the administration of financing instruments and the planning of financing instruments.
The funding instrument administration department will continue the activities already familiar to the applicant community by taking care of the smooth application process, administering projects and reports, and advising applicants on competitions, programs and other issues. Meanwhile, the Financing Instrument Planning Unit will be responsible for planning financing conditions, preparing documents and coordinating them – this is a process that is usually invisible to applicants, but requires responsible and prompt preparation.
"This change has been long awaited and planned. It is important for several reasons. The administration of the Lithuanian Council for Culture seeks to respond to global crises as effectively as possible, as well as to take into account the vision of council members to strengthen creators and art areas by updating or establishing new financing instruments. During the 11 years of operation, the scope of other financing measures has changed, new programs are being established, for example, from next year we plan to administer the Baltic Culture Fund.
We aim to ensure greater specialization of team members, closer cooperation between managers and employees, and the opportunity to better respond to the needs of the cultural community. Changes in the internal structure will undoubtedly benefit our applicants as well – we will have more time to prepare for innovations, communicate them better and respond more accurately to changing environmental challenges," says Rūta Stepanovaitė, Director of Administration of the Council.
If you have any questions regarding the financing of projects, please contact the curators of arts or programs of the Lithuanian Council for Culture in the Department of Funding Instrument Administration. The leader of this team is Rūta Kriaučiūnaitė-Mincė.
