The IFACCA Board met on 24 July 2025 and unanimously elected Ms Kajsa Ravin, Director General of the Swedish Arts Council the next Chair of the Board.
Ms Ravin, who previously served as a Director on the IFACCA Board, commenced as Chair on 1 September 2025, and will lead the IFACCA Delegation at MONDIACULT 2025. In accepting the position, Ms Ravin stated, “I am honoured and humbled to step up as Chair of IFACCA, and together with the Executive Director represent the IFACCA community, when the world comes together to discuss and deliver on the polycrises of our time at MONDIACULT 2025.”
IFACCA Executive Director, Ms Magdalena Moreno Mujica affirmed, “Kajsa Ravin has been an active member and champion of IFACCA for some time, having hosted the 9th World Summit on Arts and Culture in Stockholm, Sweden in 2023 on safeguarding artistic freedom, participating in a range of initiatives providing strategic advice, and most recently appointed to the World Summit Committee for the Board. I am thrilled with her appointment and look forward to working very closely with Ms Ravin.”
Ms Ravin succeeds Ms Kristin Danielsen, CEO of Arts and Culture Norway, as Chair, who has stepped down to take on a new role as Director of the Nordic Culture Fund. Of Ms Danielsen’s term, Ms Ravin said, “Ms Danielsen has been my close colleague as Norway and Sweden are sibling countries in the north and I have had the privilege to follow her in her role at Arts and Culture Norway, as Co-chair of the Europe Chapter and as Chair of the IFACCA Board. Ms Danielsen has been an exemplary Chair showing the strength and value of IFACCA to new and existing members as well as cultural leaders and policy makers around the world.”
