New Council Takes Office

Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) welcomes the announcement of the new Council membership by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau on 24 Dec.

Chairman Mr Kenneth Fok, first joined HKADC as a member in 2020 and was appointed as Chairman in 2023, has dedicated to address the needs of arts and cultural sector for its betterment. During his tenure, HKADC has made tremendous efforts in nurturing the development of small and medium-sized local arts groups and artists, organising the inaugural Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo successfully to foster the exchange and connection between Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas.  In support of the Government’s Blueprint for Arts and Culture and Creative Industries Development, HKADC introduces novel arts experiences incorporating elements of arts, culture, technology and tourism to promote arts and encourage active participation of the visitors and citizens of Hong Kong.

Under the leadership of Chairman Fok, the new Council will formulate future development directives and strategies to meet the sectoral needs and at the same time, make best use of the available resources to support the development of local artists and arts groups, creating a vibrant and innovative arts ecosystem. The new Council term will be from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2028.
