The government has officially launched public consultations on a pioneering draft policy focused on the repatriation of ancestral remains and the restitution of cultural heritage. The announcement came during a high-level workshop in Windhoek this week, where government officials met with traditional authorities to discuss the ethical and logistical roadmap for bringing Namibia’s heritage back to its soil.
