Voting 266-0, with one abstention, the House of Representatives on Wednesday night approved on third and final reading the Philippine Indigenous and Traditional Writing Systems Act, which seeks to protect, preserve, and promote the country’s indigenous and traditional scripts as an important part of Filipino cultural heritage.
