Our members often face similar challenges. However, it can be difficult to know how others tackle common problems, or who is researching which issues. IFACCA minimises this information gap by utilising our unique network of more than 400 arts councils and culture agencies. When a member is faced with a problem they suspect others have encountered, or if they want to find international links and resources, they can simply contact us.

Here’s how the D’art programme works:

1. A request is sent to us at info@ifacca.org
2. We then forward the query to our network
3. Our network responds to the requestor and to us
4. The requestor provides an analysis of responses and we work with them to create a draft D’art Report
5. We send the draft D’art Report to everyone who responded; and
6. We post the final Report on our website for all to benefit.

If you would like to make a request, please remember:

- your topic should be targeted at a specific arts and cultural policy issue(s). General policy questions are not suited to the programme’s format. The existing D’Art topics are good examples of the types of questions that can be asked.
- it is a condition that you supply an analysis of the responses, unless otherwise agreed with IFACCA. Depending on the nature of the project, the analysis can be anything from 1,000 to 10,000 words long.
- the information you are seeking should be unpublished or difficult to obtain through usual library and information searches; the programme is not a substitute for bibliographical research.
- when you make a request, please provide as much context for the question as possible to aid clarity and to encourage responses.
- keep your question simple and use plain language. We accept requests in English, French or Spanish.
- we reserve the right not to proceed with requests we deem inappropriate for the programme, and maintain sole responsibility for the scheduling of questions.
- any information you obtain through D’Art that you use for publication or presentation should appropriately acknowledge IFACCA.

- we will credit you by organisation name, individual name and email unless otherwise requested.
- provide details of any publications referred to in your response, and use standard citation formats (author/s, year, full title, and publisher) and URL addresses for publications available online. Please provide contact details for ordering the publication where appropriate.
