The 10th meeting of the Committee on Culture of UCLG will take place in Lille, France on 27-28 June 2013, to be followed by a "Forum Libération" on cultural policies.
The main topics to be discussed in the meeting of the Committee on Culture of UCLG are:
• Key presentations of cities engaged in the local implementation of Agenda 21 for culture and the UCLG Declaration on culture as the fourth pillar of sustainable development.
• Launch of the process to update Agenda 21 for culture in 2014: How do we evaluate the existing document? What contents should the new document have? What monitoring / support can we provide to cities? What training / capacity building / exchanges should we design and implement?
• State of the art of our work related to the Post-2015 Development Agenda and Habitat III (2016)
• Report on the UNESCO conference on "Culture: Key to Sustainable Development", Hangzhou, China, 14-17 May 2013
• Launch of the World Award on Agenda 21 for culture
• Preparation of UCLG's World Congress in Rabat (1-4 October 2013)
• Ideas for our programme for the new period 2014-2016
• Technical visits to cultural projects in Lille
