Join us for a full day in exploring new solutions for the evaluation of arts education in inclusive settings. By convening arts education researchers and practitioners with the disability community, VSA arts will examine how evaluation strategies may foster deeper understanding of arts teaching and learning, as well as inform the design of high quality instruction and educational programs for all students.
Building on the content and discoveries of our prior research symposiums, VSA arts will address the following questions:
What does outcomes-based evaluation of arts education look like in inclusive settings?
What learning outcomes are the most meaningful and important to measure?
What evaluation strategies will effectively capture rich and useful data?
Who else can be included in the collection, analysis, and use of this data? P
articipants will collaboratively discuss recent contributions and specific case examples from the arts education research field, and then consider applications for evaluating the complexity of arts education programs that include students with disabilities.
