Since its creation in 2004, the World Forum on Human Rights, established by UNESCO, has
taken place every two years in Nantes and it has become an essential meeting for us all. In 2008,
the 3rd Forum was marked by the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The
4th Forum takes place in the context of the global crisis: a crisis that not only threatens Human Rights, but also raises the value of the Individual - whose labour is not a commodity – as a major concern.
