Co-hosted by European Festivals Association,
24 October 2011 – 31 October 2011, Türkiye

This is your chance to study further and gain important skills that are helpful in your job! The European Festivals Association (EFA) offers you two one-week intensive courses: The first course will be on 14 to 21 May 2011 in Singapore, and the second course will be on 24 to 31 October 2011 in Izmir, Turkey.

The aim of the Atelier for Young Festival Managers is to exchange experience and act as an agent to pass on knowledge to the next generation of festival executives. In doing so, the main focus is on art and artists – the two pillars of the festival business, says Kathrin Deventer, EFA-General Secretary.

The atelier will bring together 45 festival managers from all over the world. Notable executives such as
Bernard Faivre d’Arcier, Rose Fenton, Goh Ching Lee, Hugo De Greef and Nele Hertling will share their experience with the participants.

There will be lectures, one-on-one-interviews, group discussions and intensive workshops on different topics such as artistic perspectives, political and social responsibility or networking.

The application deadline is 17 December 2010 (Singapore) and 7 February 2011 (Izmir).
