Hundreds of top arts marketing and development professionals will gather on October 8-11, 2009 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles for the Arts Reach National Arts Marketing and Development Conference 2009. “Are You Ready for the Wave of Change? Breakthrough Strategies for Growing Audiences, Donors, and Boards in the Coming Decade” is the theme of the event.
In light of the economic downturn, this conference is designed to help organizations focus their precious resources in the most effective ways to maximize the achievement of their organization’s mission. The faculty includes leaders from such organizations as the Los Angeles Opera, the Arizona Theatre Company, the California African American Museum, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and many others.
In addition to the Regular Conference October 9-10, there will be a Pre-Conference Day on Thursday, October 8, titled Patron Technology’s E-marketing, E-mersion E-vent. The Pre-Conference Day is geared toward delegates with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of e-marketing. Patron Technology is the leading provider of professional E-marketing solutions for arts, nonprofits, and creative businesses.
New this year is a Post-Conference Day on Sunday, October 11 titled Revolution in the Board Room, presented by best-selling author and consultant Kay Sprinkel Grace. Board members, as well as staff members, are encouraged to attend this day.
Breakouts during the Regular Conference will follow three tracks, with at least one breakout at any given time as part of the Arts Marketing Track, the Arts Development Track and -- new this year -- the Theater Track for the theater professionals in attendance. Delegates may follow a single track or "jump the track" as they please.
The intimate size of this conference provides maximum opportunities to rub elbows with industry experts and get individual questions answered. Delegates will be able to sign up for one-on-one consultations with several of the session presenters.
With support from several national and regional associations, this conference promises to be a watershed event. Arts Reach is working with national associations such as American Association of Museums, League of American Orchestras, Chorus America, Dance/USA, Opera America, Chamber Music America, The League of Historic American Theatres, and Theatre Communications Group, plus regional associations such as Western Arts Alliance to bring the members of these associations significant discounts to make it easy for them to attend.
The Early Bird registration deadline is July 31, 2009. In addition to saving on registration, when one person from an organization registers by July 31, another person from that organization can attend the Regular Conference and the Pre-Conference E-marketing Day for free.
