The Commission of the African Union will host the 5th Session of the Conference of African Ministers of Culture in Nairobi, Kenya from 10-14 December 2005 (the 4th session of the Conference took place in Cotonou in 1993.) The event follows the first Pan African Cultural Congress, and dialogue at the meeting will include further discussion of Congress proceedings. Participants will include Government experts and Ministers from AU Member States; Ministers and eminent personalities from non African countries (such as Brazil); and Observers invited by the AU Commission. Other items on the agenda include: results of the Conference of Intellectuals; the distribution of working papers on the Conference topics; and a focuse session on cultural education.
