Cultural Diversity - Europe's Wealth. Bringing UNESCO Convention to Life
Co-hosted by UNESCO,
26 April 2007 – 28 April 2007, Germany
As the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions is set to come into effect, this conference to be held in Germany in April will focus on the very concept of cultural diversity.
Not only will it debate the meaning of cultural diversity, its limits and the opportunities it might offer but it will also explore how the Convention will be implemented in Europe.
International representatives of civil society, administration and politics will also discuss the next steps for the Convention and joint European action in Essen, which is to be the European Capital of Culture in 2010.
