Overview of the Course
Ever wondered what European Commissioners do? Do you know what countries are in the European Union? What happens when Irish Ministers go 'over to Brussels' and how is European policy actually made? This training course has the answers to these and many other questions that are often asked about 'Europe'. In just one day, you can become acquainted with the main players in the EU, find out what they do, and how each of them are involved in making decisions on our behalf. Those attending the training course will be given a practical understanding of how the European Union works.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for all who wish to acquire a working knowledge of the EU, where to locate details and information of a particular interest area, and how to keep up to date on an ongoing basis.
Locations and dates
Training courses will be held in the European Movement Training Centre, Third Floor, 32 Nassau Street, Dublin on the following dates: 10th, 16th, 21st and 27th May
Course presenter:
Tricia Sheehy Skeffington holds a Masters in European Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges and is experienced in providing presentations on the EU. Her background includes working in the President’s office of the European Commission in Brussels. She is also a researcher and freelance journalist covering many issues.
