On May 6, 2003, the Council of Ministers Education, Youth, Culture of the European Union adopted a Resolution concerning the access of disabled people to infrastructures and cultural activities. The Council wished to see an evaluation of actions and measurements undertaken to 2005. In this context, the Conference European Culture and Disability of June 7th, 2006 will bring together representatives of Finland, the United Kingdom, Spain, France… to make a public statement on their actions in this field.
This meeting is placed within the framework of the European Meetings Culture and Disability which aim to bring together the professionals, the individuals and/or the structures working for artistic creation of people with disabilities like for their integration in the cultural structures in Europe.
