The Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences will host HASS On The Hill in Canberra on 22 and 23 March 2011.
HASS On The Hill is a landmark event for the humanities, arts and social sciences. It is a key opportunity for the sector to communicate directly with government and senior policy makers, in a frank and open exchange, showcasing ideas and research.
Research is vital in informing national debate. HASS On The Hill is a natural platform for knowledge exchange. It builds connections between researchers, practitioners and professionals, providing an opportunity to identify common challenges, solutions and goals.
As the new government sets out its second term agenda, HASS On The Hill enables the HASS sector to contribute to the policymaking process, helping the public sector forge greater links with external organisations, particularly with academia and research institutions. HASS On The Hill is a starting point for building these relationships.
The Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences believes new ideas and projects will emerge from the discussion and debate at HASS On The Hill between its 90 member organisations and delegates from government, industry and business.
