At the invitation of IFACCA and the Canada Council for the Arts, research coordinators from ten countries met in Montréal, Canada, on 24 August 2004, to discuss issues in arts policy research. Topics covered included: cultural indicators, databases of cultural policy research, and IFACCA's research activities.
After the workshop, IFACCA researchers joined Canadian colleagues at a workshop on the 'Initiative to Study the Social Effects of Culture' (ISSEC), a joint project of the Canadian Department of Heritage and the University of Ottawa.
