The Ministry of Culture and the Media and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Government of Catalonia, in cooperation with Interarts, are organising an international seminar entitled ‘Cultural Diplomacy: a Perspective from Catalonia’, which will take place at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) on 2-4 December 2009.
The seminar aims to contribute, through a description and analysis of the recent developments in models of both cultural diplomacy and international cultural relations, to enrich public policies implemented in these fields in Catalonia.
Confirmed speakers include John Holden, Calixto Bieito, Ignasi Aballí, Simona Škrabec, Jaume Roures and Dragan Klaic, as well as representatives of several governments and a number of Catalan organisations. A full programme will be available at www.interarts.net. in early November. For further information and registration, please contact
