The four main subjects of this workshop are:

- Learning and educational role of museums;
- Management in museums;
- Audience development in museums;
- Social and cultural role of museums.

The participants who represent different museums come from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, four UNESCO international experts in museums animate and lead discussions.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will draft practical recommendations based on needs and goals of participating museums, allowing these museums to enhance their situation in the above-mentioned subjects and assisting them in devising an action plan towards achieving their objectives.
