The Association of European Cities and Regions for Culture -Les Rencontres- is pleased to invite you to 'La Rencontre de Fingal County/Dublin' to be held from 7 to 10 March 2013 at the invitation of Fingal County Council and in association with the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The theme of La Rencontre de Fingal County / Dublin is: "Culture and sustainable development". The network wishes to provide a first specific contribution to the ongoing reflexion on these society and civilization issues. The conference will highlight the creative and innovative dimensions of policies and projects carried out to guarantee a cultural, economic and social development in urban and rural territories in Europe.

The following events will also be held in conjunction to the conference:

•  The second meeting of our Performing Arts' working group created at our Avignon Forum during the 2012 Festival and animated by Mrs Danielle Buys - First Deputee Mayor in the city of Tournefeuille.
• Workshop on the “Regional, national and European Capitals of Culture”.
