On October the 5th and 6th 2007, the Boekman Foundation organises a round table in cooperation with the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The meeting's focus is on the public and private interactions in financing the arts and culture within the European Union.
The round table aims to bring together international experts on cultural policy to stimulate a debate about strategies, initiatives and practices of public and private interactions when supporting the arts and culture, underlining their pros and cons.
The objective is to highlight the importance of measuring public and private support to the arts and culture, and to provide a better understanding of the important alternative ways to support this sector, mainly, through private involvement.
