The Art of Possibility: {Enabling} Art in an Age of Anxiety
20 October 2004, Australia
The Australian Institute of Arts Management, in association with the Melbourne International Arts Festival, is proud present, The Art of Possibility: {Enabling} Art in an Age of Anxiety.
The one-day symposium will take place on Wednesday 20 October, 2004 at the Australian Centre for Moving Image (ACMI), Federation Square, Melbourne.
Times of fear and anxiety can be strong creative drivers for many artists, but the environment in which arts practitioners are working is increasingly conservative. How do we, as arts managers, producers and cultural workers, create possibilities for artists? How can we nurture new concepts, obtain continued support and attract new audiences?
Featuring some of Australia & New Zealand's most respected managers, producers, promoters, curators & creators, these critical questions will be explored at this one-day symposium sponsored by Arts Victoria; the Australia Council; Creative New Zealand and www.fuel4arts.com.
