The Creative City Network of Canada will hold its 6th Annual Conference entitled The Ecology of a Creative Community in Edmonton, Alberta (a 2007 Cultural Capital) on 10-13 October 2007. Join the network of cultural planners to explore the key elements that contribute to a vibrant cultural community.
This year's conference will focus on planning for sustainable cultural spaces, community collaborations and partnerships, building community identity and pride, engagement strategies and much more. Two additional streams are offered on event hosting strategies and public art. The event will bring together municipal cultural planning and development staff from communities across Canada for professional development sessions, dialogue, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities. While the conference is primarily tailored to the needs of network members, registration is open to anyone wishing to expand their knowledge in the cultural planning and development sector.
